Tim Fischer

A a lifelong angler, Tim Fischer is an extremely personable and hard-working guide whose enthusiasm for the sport of fly fishing and the area's fisheries is contagious.

Tim grew up in Lake County, Illinois spending much of his childhood on backyard ponds and local area lakes. Tim's bachelors degree in geography from UW-Whitewater was accompanied with an unofficial minor in fly fishing and he has truly pursued it as a profession. Most of his free time was spent fishing and he often included analysis and data collection from local waters directly into his coursework.

Tim has been fortunate enough to have spent most of his childhood fishing the northwoods of Wisconsin. Chasing smallmouth bass, pike and the elusive musky has been his standard schedule for the summer season. After eight seasons of fly fishing excessively, his handle on fish activity in the upper Midwest is top notch. Whether it is locating nice smallies or hucking monster flies for big river muskies, Tim is a skilled guide and will work hard when it comes to providing clients the fishing experiences they seek.

Tim also has a great passion for travel and of course the motivation is fishing. With friends who guide in Idaho, Wyoming and North Carolina, Tim has gained countless hours of fly fishing experience in the mountains of the American West as well as the Appalachian region of East Tennessee and Western North Carolina.

The wild rivers region of northwest Wisconsin is where Tim's true passion lies however, and is where he spent most of his 200 plus days on the water last season. It is sure to be a memorable adventure when you join Tim in his drift boat for a day out on the water.
